Happy Yorkshire Day!
Manchester made me, I’d have to say.
But I was once a Yorkshire lass.
Born and bred there some time past.
Thankful to have some Northern grit.
And, what the world needs now is some Northern wit!

Today, I am pausing to think of my Yorkshire roots.
